Swimming at Limnionas Beach

2 weeks agoA quiet beach like I seek for when coming to Greece: no music, not crowded, not 100 sunbeds in a small place. There are just a few sunbeds, so be there early (9-10 AM maximum). Price: 15 euro/set (July 2026), with service from the taverna on the beach. The prices are decent, the espresso was good (for me, Greece has usually pretty bad coffee, the espresso here wasn't bad). You will receive the menu when you pay the sunbeds. The bathroom is at the taverna on the hill, nice and clean. There is free parking also. In the late afternoon there will be natural shadow, which is great. The water is clear, there are some small rocks when you step in, but it's mostly sandy and with some sea weed, no waves (protected by the little gulf), you can walk in barefoot. It worth a visit when in Kos for sure.

a year agoAbsolutely amazing! Would pay anything to see it for the first time again! Its a really cool looking beach... On both sides. One side (right) is the main beach area with a larger view of the ocean where some really cute fishing boats come to 'park'. On the other side (left) is a stunning cove type area, my personal recommendation is to definitely bring a mask and snorkel because there is a tonne of fish and squid! There are also little rock pools which are surprisingly warm to sit in, around the cove there are little nooks you can step inside and climb on. I swam to the other side of the cove and it had a beautiful view. Make sure you stay for the sunset it's all shades of red and pink it's to die for.

2 years agoWe really enjoyed this beach as it was small and therefore not crowded and very peaceful. The beach is also guarded with a breakwater so there aren't any big waves - easy to swim. You can also order drinks and there is a restaurant nearby. The road to this beach is easily accessible by car with a lot of free parking.
