Swimming at Limnionas Beach

a month agoAbsolutely stunning, been coming here the last 4 years. Brilliant locations, stunning views. Excellently protected from waves, so safe option for families. Perfect for snorkelling! Beds are a good price, you can jump off the concrete pier which is fun. I’d recommend coming early, because the beds get full fast. There are two beaches to check out, one with sun beds, one without. Both are fun 🤍🤍

2 months agoA beach on the northwestern coast of Kos. Access by a regular car all the way to the beach was easy and trouble-free. At around 4 PM, the parking area was about half full. Most of the beach is protected by a breakwater, so even though the sea was quite rough, the bay itself was almost completely calm. The beach is sandy, with small pebbles when entering the water. The seabed is sandy, but after about 5 metres it becomes almost completely covered with seaweed. Two sunbeds and an umbrella cost €15, and there was also a shower available. 3/5

2 months agoDon’t be put off by the negative reviews — we almost skipped this place because of them, and we would have missed out on a beautiful little bay. The beach is quite clean and, thanks to the small harbour, the sea is very calm. The road down is not difficult at all. There is a slight smell from the sea in some areas, but it seems to come from the seaweed and decomposing seaweed on the seabed rather than anything related to cleanliness. We paid €15 for two people for the sunbeds and umbrella. We arrived before noon and it wasn’t very crowded, with plenty of space still available. If you enjoy exploring the island and discovering quieter places, Limnionas is definitely worth a stop.

3 months agoA quiet beach like I seek for when coming to Greece: no music, not crowded, not 100 sunbeds in a small place. There are just a few sunbeds, so be there early (9-10 AM maximum). Price: 15 euro/set (July 2026), with service from the taverna on the beach. The prices are decent, the espresso was good (for me, Greece has usually pretty bad coffee, the espresso here wasn't bad). You will receive the menu when you pay the sunbeds. The bathroom is at the taverna on the hill, nice and clean. There is free parking also. In the late afternoon there will be natural shadow, which is great. The water is clear, there are some small rocks when you step in, but it's mostly sandy and with some sea weed, no waves (protected by the little gulf), you can walk in barefoot. It worth a visit when in Kos for sure.
