3 weeks agoRecommended by our receptionist and glad we followed her recommendation! Traditional family restaurant serving fresh fish with a smile. Absolutely loved the interior! We ordered the stuffed squid 🦑 and it didn't disappoint. Served with grilled veggies and potatoes. Asked if they had some sweet wine and they offered me the sweet rosé farmed locally. Definitely recommend ☺️ we will definitely return 💙🤍

2 months agoFrom the very first night of our arrival, this lovely Greek fish taverna stole our hearts. We wandered in for dinner without knowing what to expect, but it immediately felt like the perfect choice. Over the next few days we tried different restaurants—by the seafront, in the centre, and further out—but none of them compared. We happily returned here, and for good reason. The food is simply unforgettable: the freshest seafood, cooked to perfection, and the most flavorful dishes served in portions that leave you more than satisfied. The tzatziki deserves a special mention—it was the absolute best we’ve ever tasted, creamy, refreshing, and just perfect alongside the fish. Everything tasted so fresh that you could feel the sea and the tradition on the plate. What makes this place even more special is the atmosphere and the people. The staff here are genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive without ever being pushy. Unlike other places where people call out or pressure you to come in, here they greet you with sincerity and warmth, letting their hospitality speak for itself. That small but important detail made all the difference for us. This is more than just a restaurant—it’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger, laugh, and come back again and again. If you want a true taste of Greece, both on your plate and in the way you’re treated, don’t miss this taverna. Ευχαριστούμε πάρα πολύ, to the wonderful staff! your smiles, kindness, and delicious food made our stay unforgettable. We will always remember you and can’t wait to return.

a month agoHad a wonderful evening at Sardelles for our last evening in Kos. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. Live Greek music, dancing and fire on the floor? 🤭 we had 4 courses and drinks and it was only about €35 each. Family ran and you feel part of that family if even for only a couple of hours. Definitely recommend going on a Friday evening for the music etc. Thanks guys

2 months agoWe ordered fried sardines, octopus 🐙 on the grill and moussaka. The sardines were delicious The octopus was a bit chewy but tasty The moussaka was a catastrophe. Coz we’ve had many moussaka during the week but this was not the same thing. Must have been frozen and definitely not fresh. Eventually they admitted it.. we had to return it back.. The atmosphere is really authentic and they were kind and welcoming.

3 months agoDisappointing Service Mars an Otherwise Lovely Experience Our recent visit to this restaurant, ideally situated near Los Liman, left us with mixed feelings. While there were several high points, the overall experience was significantly marred by what appeared to be a severe shortage of staff. This review is a reflection of the conflicting feelings we had—a struggle between appreciating the good and being frustrated by the bad. Let's start with the positives, which were indeed notable. The location is excellent, offering a pleasant atmosphere that felt both cozy and intimate. The food itself was delicious, showcasing a clear effort and skill in the kitchen. Every dish we ordered was well-prepared and flavorful, a testament to the quality of the ingredients and the chef’s talent. The highlight of our evening, however, was the live music. We were fortunate enough to be there on a night with a performance, and it was a genuinely delightful addition to the dining experience. The musician was talented, creating a vibrant and enjoyable ambiance that made the small space feel even more special. Unfortunately, these positive aspects were overshadowed by a significant issue: the service. Despite the restaurant's small size, it was incredibly difficult to get the attention of a waiter. We found ourselves waiting for an unacceptably long time just to place an order, and subsequent requests for things like drinks or the check were similarly delayed. The staff, though few, seemed stressed and overwhelmed, which is completely understandable given the circumstances. This tension was palpable and created an atmosphere that was far from relaxing. It's a shame that a lack of adequate personnel led to such a stressful dining experience. The slow service and the apparent strain on the staff detracted from the delicious food and the lively music, preventing us from fully enjoying what could have been a perfect evening. To summarize, this restaurant has a lot of potential. The food is great, the location is charming, and the live music is a fantastic bonus. However, until they address their staffing issues, it will be difficult to recommend. The feeling of being neglected and the visible stress of the employees made what should have been a pleasant meal a frustrating ordeal. The beauty of the place and its offerings were sadly eclipsed by the palpable tension created by poor service.
